Working alongside experienced engineers, co-ops have a unique opportunity to apply their academic learning to products that protect lives in communities around the world. The Quality Engineer co-op will contribute to the operational excellence at MSA by collaborating on the following tasks:


- Ability to manage multiple tasks, solve technical problems, and work efficiently in cross functional team.
- Strong computer skills including Minitab, Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- Knowledge of statistical tools and their application
- Project management skills
Education and experience required:
- Incumbent must be actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or other relevant Engineering degree, from an ABET-accredited program, and have completed at least one semester of sophomore year.


- Assist in the development of IQOS (Integrated Quality Optimization System) for Customer Notifications. This includes assisting with improvement initiatives within SAP, testing, training and implementation.
- Support Murrysville and Cranberry quality initiatives such as Measurement System Evaluations, PFMEA reviews, and root cause / corrective action identification for new product launches.
- Support Issues Resolution Group process with process improvement and lean activities.
- Warranty Claims database process development and implementation.
- Data integrity and reporting for IQOS (Integrated Quality Optimization System) Customer Quality Notifications.
- Consolidation project for information related to 8D (CAPA) notifications to improve global communication. 
- Assist with monthly departmental reports
- Co-leading monthly meetings to discuss customer issues with core product groups.
