Interns at MSA have a unique opportunity to apply their academic learning and contribute towards a life-saving mission. The Marketing Communications Intern will report to the Marketing Communication Group Manager and will be exposed to strategic and cross-channel tactical campaign development, gain an understanding of national media planning, and participate in trade show and event planning activities. The intern will be expected to support any of the following activities within a team environment:

• Ongoing Media Plan execution for North America, including managing deadlines, reviewing creative content, and communicating with reps and vendors
• Trade show and event planning project management
• Management of lead data & list segmentation in CRM
• Preliminary reviews of potential channels to meet marketing needs
• Content marketing efforts through idea generation and execution, including responsibility for social media initiatives
• Tactical project management of marketing initiatives including time-line development, meeting notes, and design reviews
• General support for research, media planning, and campaign reporting


Special knowledge, skills and abilities required:
• An understanding of existing and emerging marketing channels
• A sharp focus on detail
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to work within a deadline-oriented, fast-paced team environment
• Exceptional business writing and communication skills


Education and experience required:

• Incumbent should be actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related subject and should be of junior or senior status.
