    Working alongside the Cranberry Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist, the intern will have a unique opportunity to apply their academic learning at a facility that manufacturers products that protect lives in communities around the world. The Environmental, Health & Safety intern will gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, interacting with the people who put physical shape to our products. They will contribute within a team environment by supporting any of the following activities:




    • Development of Lockout Tagout Machine Specific Procedures & systemic organization utilizing the facility’s electronic filing method as well as hard copies within the facility
    • Assist with Lockout Tagout Machine Specific Procedure periodic inspections
    • JSA Development and systemic organization utilizing the facility’s electronic filing method as well as hard copies within the facility
    • Assist and lead Safety Risk Assessments (SRAs) for various machinery and tasks throughout the facility
    • Participate and recommend improvements for the facility Safety Champion Program as necessary
    • Input near-hit data into facility’s electronic tracking system, analyze data, and track corrective actions to completion
    • Assist in incident investigations and 5-Why Analysis
    • Conduct Hazard Assessments throughout production areas as required
    • Assist EHS Specialist on various tasks as detailed on the facility’s safety action tracker
    • Actively participate in the facility’s Ergonomics Assessment Team
    • Perform Ergo Assessments and Investigations as well as recommend/implement corrective actions as necessary
    • Participate in various development opportunities offered by MSA



    • Basic experience with data analysis, methods and graphing
    • Creative problem solving skills
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Tools, with a special emphasis on Excel and Access

    Education and experience required:

    • Incumbent must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health & Safety, or other relevant discipline, and must have completed at least two semesters prior to the beginning of this opportunity
